Graduation Lunch:

The Year Six Graduands celebrated their Graduation with a lovely lunch at the Fremantle Esplanade Hotel. We travelled to the restaurant by bus. The students sat down to a delicious buffet lunch. It was a wonderful opportunity for the students to dress up and socialise with each other.

Graduation Ceremony

The Year Sixes had their Graduation Ceremony last Thursday Night. The students looked fantastic in their formal dress. We have been so very proud of the Year Six group this year. We have been impressed with the way the students have worked so hard this year. The ceremony highlighted their individual achievements and successes. Congratulations to Maunil for winning the Lesmurdie Scholarship Award and to Elice for winning the Year Six Sports Award.  A huge thank you to all of the Wattle Grove Staff, for making the night so very successful and memorable.

Year Six Kalgoorlie Camp.

The Year Sixes went to Kalgoorlie for their camp on Monday October 29 to Friday November 2, 2018. The camp was very successful and the students thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We all took part in gold panning at Lake Douglas, with everyone striking it rich. We participated in historical visits to Coolgardie and the Kalgoorlie and Boulder Town Halls. We visited the Loop Line Train Museum and the Royal Flying Doctor Service. The group had a swim at the Goldfields Aquatic Centre and we played Two-Up out in the bush. I would like to thank Mrs Lowther, Mr Sanderson, Mr Meachem, Mr Johnson, Miss McKercher and Miss Preston for all of their assistance on camp. Thank you also to Ms Roberts for allowing us to have this wonderful opportunity.

Welcome Back to Term Four 2018

Hello Room 27 Parents/Caregivers/Students

Welcome back – We hope had a most enjoyable and relaxing holiday apart from the West Coast Eagles Premiership. Term Four is, as always, jam-packed with events, so prepare yourself for the term ahead.
Some reminders:
Dancing lessons start this week (Week One) and continue throughout the term. Our class dances on a Monday 9:40 to 10.30.

Graduation Photographs – A note From Mr Sanderson :
Our Year Six students are reaching the end of their Primary School life! As per usual, I need some photographs from each Year Six student, for use in the graduation ceremony slideshow. I am looking for between 3 - 6 photos from each student, from when they were babies/toddlers, or cute K-P youngsters! If possible, we would prefer it if the photos are scanned at home (as a high res JPEG) and then sent to school on a USB. If this is not possible, physical photos are fine. I need them all in by Week 5. We will return originals and USB’s to you. Please put your name on them.

Year Six Camp to Kalgoorlie - this is happening Monday October 29 – Friday November 2. Please bring in all your completed forms ASAP. A reminder the train is departing at 3:15 pm on Monday October 29 from the East Perth Train Station. Students are to come to school until 12.30pm on that day.
Year Six Citizenship Portfolios: The portfolios are due Friday, the 19th of October - be sure all sections are completed.
We are looking forward to a productive and enjoyable term.
Mr Sherlock and Mrs Queiros.

Learning Journeys 2018.

We conducted our learning journeys in the last week of Term Three.  A huge thank you to all the parents and caregivers for attending. It was great to see the students sharing their achievements with their parents and caregivers.
