Super Scientist Term Two.

Throughout Week Five and Six, students are required to present an experiment based on a Science concept, as part of our whole school Super Scientist Competition. This presentation should be no longer than 6(six) minutes in length. The main purpose of the presentation is to explain the science behind what is happening, not just present an amazing experiment.

Your experiment should cover the following
 Name of experiment
·         Materials
·         Method
·         Scientific explanation
·         Reflection on task and why you chose this experiment

Your presentation will be assessed on:
·         the accuracy of the science content,
·         how clear your explanation is that accompanies
           your experiment
·         the detail and research shown in your background
           knowledge
·         your use of scientific language
·         your presentation and showmanship
·         your speaking skills
·         that you demonstrate engagement with the
           audience

Principal's Challenge.

We would like to congratulate Room 22 for narrowly winning the Principal’s Challenge for Term One. We finished a close second. We were work extremely hard to take the trophy from Mr Sanderson. The champion class is decided on by the class average with a loading for the different classes, based on size and ability. Our best chance of winning the Champion Class Award is if everyone works hard to improve their scores.

Congratulations to Haziq and Caitlin who were the only two students to achieve 100%.  An outstanding result!

We have handed out the Principal’s Challenge Spelling Words and Study Notes for Term Two. We are encouraging the students to practise their spelling words and mental maths, in class and as homework. Notes on the subject of Life and Living Sciences, need to be reviewed and are based on the topic we have worked on in class.

Term Two Student Representatives 2018.

We would like to thank the Term One Student Representatives for the outstanding job they did during the term.

Congratulations to Dylan, Emily, George, Jarni, Manual and Shweta, who have been announced as Student Representatives for Term Two. We look forward to working with you.
