Super Scientists Term Four.
Congratulations to Shantai and Alyssa for being selected as the Room 26 Representatives in the Year Six final. Shantai's experiment was eliminating reflection from and refraction by a glass object. She made a test tube disappear in vegetable oil. Alyssa conducted a  rainbow sugar water density experiment.

Literacy Pro Certificate Winners.
Congratulation goes to Heath, Josh, Madison, Amro, Collin and Owen who were awarded certificates at assembly. Your efforts have contributed to the overall school goal of reading 100 million words this year.

Italian Award Winners.
Congratulations to the two groups of students who scored the equal top mark for their Italian Video Project. The girls had to film a daily activity they participate in and provide Italian commentary over the top of it.

Solar Boats.
We have begun the process of designing and construction our solar boats. We are at the stage of drawing our cutting plans onto the foam, cutting the foam with a hand saw and them sanding the boat with sand paper to make it as aerodynamic as possible. Once the construction process is finished, we will be racing them off against each other.

Humprehys Dancing Lessons.
We have started dancing lessons this term with Humprehys Dance School. We have been learning the Slow Rhythm, the Rock Barn Dance, the Jive and the Slosh. We are busily preparing for the Graduation Dance. Mr Sherlock's dancing skills have been outstanding.

Mr Tankersley and Miss Zaffino.
We would like to thank  Mr Campbell Tankersley who has been on work experience in our room. Mr Tankersley is an ex-Wattle Grove student. We would like to welcome Miss Olivia Zaffino, from Edith Cowan University to our room. Miss Zaffino will be completing her teaching practice during this term.

Term Four Student Reps.
Congratulations to Shantai, Tayla, Amro, Liam, Taheb and Owen on their selection as Student Representatives for Term Four.

CITIZENSHIP PORTFOLIO

Citizenship Portfolios should be nearly finished. Over the school holidays is a great opportunity to just finalise a few pages and make sure all your information has been printed off. Don't forget colour printing needs to be done at home. Some students may need help to finish the community section of the portfolio, particularly the project about helping in the community. Please click on the picture to view the information needed for each section.
