THE SCIENCE OF COLOURING MIXING
.
.
This experiment required 7 cups with water in
and paper towel between them. Food colouring was added, red to the first
and last, blue to the third and yellow to the fifth, with just the plain water
in the ones in between. The water slowly moved up the paper towel, mixing
together in the cups in between, red and blue making purple, blue and yellow
making green and the yellow and red making orange. The red and blue was the
slowest to mix and make the purple. This action was due to what is called
Capillary Action, where water is able to move up or along narrow spaces without
being affected by gravity. It is how plants get water up through their roots
bringing nutrients up the leaves...
PARENT INFORMATION NIGHT
The Parent Night for Room 26 was held on Tuesday 16 February 2016. At the Parent Night, Mr Meachem and I explained our plans for 2016. We talked about our teaching philosophy, our expectations of the students for the coming year, classroom routines and our learning programs. We would like thank all of the parents and guardians who attended.
