Principal's Challenge Victory.

Congratulations to Room 26 for winning the Principal's Challenge for Term Two. We showed improvement across the board and we exceeded the target that was set for us. Thank you for working so hard to achieve our goal. Well done to Tanya and Abbey for achieving their personal goals. Tanya achieved her second 100% score for the year and Abbey made it into the Top Five Most Improved.

The Nature Playground.

The Nature Playground was officially opened today by Ms Roberts and the Wattle Grove P and C. We would like to thank the P and C for their financial contribution towards the purchase of the playground. We were lucky enough to test it out today. 



Principal's Challenge.     

The Principal's Challenge will be announced at assembly this Friday. We are hoping that Room 26 will take out  the coveted Champion Class Award.The champion class is decided on by the class average with a loading for the different classes based on size and ability. Our best chance of winning the Champion Class is, if everyone works hard to improve their scores.

Winter Interschool Carnival.

Wattle Grove Primary competed in the annual Darling Range Learning Community Winter Carnival. The Netball A team won their division. The Netball B1 team finished Runners-Up. The Netball B2 played very well. Thank you to Mrs Oliver, Mrs Lowther and Mrs Myles for coaching the teams. The Soccer A team won their division and the B team finished Runners-Up. Thank you to Mr Bonalleck and Mr Eaves for coaching the soccer teams. Thank you to Mr Sanderson for coordinating the soccer. The AFL team gave it their all on the day. Thank you to Mr Cannon, Mr Godfrey and the Forrestfield Football Club for their help on the day. Thank you to Mrs Forrest and the ladies in our canteen for organising the netball lunches on the day.

Lesmurdie Senior High School Transition.

The Year Sixes went up to Lesmurdie Senior High School as apart of their transition to high school. They spent about 30 minutes in a Phys Ed class, an Italian class, a Drama class and a Home Economic class. We would like to thank the Lesmurdie staff and students for making us feel very welcome.

Life Ed Van.

As apart of our Health unit this semester, we have been focusing on living a healthy lifestyle and making positive choices. We have been investigating the effects of smoking and alcohol on the body. The Life Ed Van focused on alcohol and what it does to the body. The students really enjoyed finding out the truth about myths associated with alcohol use.





Super Scientists.

The Super Scientist Room 26 competition was conducted during Week Six and Seven. The standard of the presentations was very high and we were impressed with the students level of background knowledge. The four students who qualified for the Year Six final were : Gabby, Jameel, Ida and Tanya.
