My School Rules.

We would like to congratulate the My School Rules team. Kayla was the only representative from our class. In a very tight contest, Wattle Grove managed to come home with the trophy. Thank you to Ms Balogh and Mr Sanderson for their excellent work in preparing the team.

ICT with Mr Meachem.

During this term, we have been having ICT lessons with Mr Meachem, every second Wednesday. The focus for the term has been creating Maze Games using Microsoft Powerpoint. Mr Meachem has shown us how to create different backgrounds, layouts, actions, hyperlinks, as well as create different levels of increasing difficulty. We also learnt how to save it, so Powerpoint was no longer needed to run it and it looked like a real computer game. The maze games are interactive and require the player to navigate through the mazes without getting knocked out. At the end of the unit it was fun testing each other’s games.

 Interschool Carnival 2020.

In Week Nine, Wattle Grove attended the Interschool Carnival over two days, with a group of children from Years One to Six. On Wednesday, the students participated in long distance running, long jump and turbo javelin throwing. These events earnt students Championship Points, as well as points for their school. Friday was the main carnival day, with students running in age division races and team games. We had amazing weather on both days and the students are to be commended on their behaviour, sportsmanship and leadership.  We had many children who walked away with a medal for Champion or Runner-Up Champion titles. At the end of the day, there could only be one winner, and that was Wattle Grove. Many thanks to all the teachers that assisted and the parent support.
