Harmony Day 2017

On Tuesday 21^st March, Wattle Grove celebrated Harmony Day. The students dressed up  and paraded in the national dress of many countries from around the world. Miss Randall and the students created a fantastic art installation that displayed all of the student’s outstanding art work.

Room 26 and Room 11 Buddies.

On Monday March 20 , Room 26 met our junior buddies for the first time for 2017. We talked about our hobbies and interests with each other. We completed our Harmony Day flags and helped each other find some interesting facts about our chosen country. We finished off the session with some peer reading.

Summer Carnival 2017.

Last Friday, Wattle Grove Primary School competed in the Darling Range Learning Community Summer Carnival. Well done to all of the teams who competed on the day. Congratulations to the Softball and Volleyball A teams who won their divisions. A huge thank you to Mrs Oliver, Mrs Lowther, Mr Oliver, Mrs Thomas, Mrs Biglin, Mrs Henshall and Mrs Myles for their assistance on the day.

PARENT INFORMATION NIGHT 2017

Mr Sherlock talks parents through a Powerpoint Show on Parent Information Night recently. For quite a few of the parents in Room 26, this will be their last Parent Night at Wattle Grove. We have a nice group of students in the class this year and are looking forward to working with them during the year and helping to improve their learning and achievement.

Super Scientists Term Four. 
Congratulations to Shantai and Alyssa for being selected as the Room 26 Representatives in the Year Six final. Shantai's experiment was eliminating reflection from and refraction by a glass object. She made a test tube disappear in vegetable oil. Alyssa conducted a  rainbow sugar water density experiment.
