'LEARNING AT HOME' SITE

The Education Department has set up an online site, called, 'Learning At Home', for those at home during these times to continue their learning. Resources are available across all Year Levels and Learning Areas, for students to continue their learning while at home.

Class Meeting.

On Tuesday, we held our first class meeting. We discussed that students need to play in their appropriate areas and the possibility of adding some new canteen menu items.

 Room 31 and Room 22's Assembly.

On Friday March 6, Rooms 31 and 22 held our Senior Assembly. We had a poetry focus for our assembly. We recited ‘My Dad, Your Dad’ by Kit Wright and ‘Sick’ by Shel Silverstein. We would like to thank the students for learning the two poems in a short amount of time. Thank you to the parents for their hard work on the costumes. It was also wonderful to hear Mr Petch’s students recite their amazing bushfire poetry.

Congratulations to Paige, Tegan, Cohen, and Thomas for being awarded Merit Certificates. Paige also received the Science Award for her inquisitive nature. Natalia received the Values Award for displaying respect and patience.

 

 

Buddies 2020.

Last Wednesday, we met with our Buddy Class for the first time this year. We have been partnered up with Miss Wright's wonderful Year Two class. The student's got to know each other and they produced some excellent Australian wildlife drawings to tie in with our Australia Day Bushfire Fundraiser.

Australia Day Bushfire Fundraiser

On Friday February 14, we held the Wattle Grove Australia Day Bushfire Fundraiser. The students came dressed in clothes that  connected to our Australian culture and way of life. The school raised over $1400 dollars that will be donated to aid in the  Bushfire Relief Program.
