Year Six Kalgoorlie Camp 2019.
The Year Sixes went to Kalgoorlie for their camp on Monday November 4 to
Friday November 8, 2019. The camp was very successful and the students
thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We all took part in gold panning near Coolgardie
with everyone striking it rich. We participated in historical visits to
Coolgardie and the Kalgoorlie and Boulder Town Halls. We visited Hannan’s North
Tourist Mine to watch a gold pour. The students went on a bus tour of the
Kalgoorlie Super Pit and we visited the Royal Flying Doctor service. The group
had a swim at the Goldfields Aquatic Centre and we played Two-Up out in the bush.
Thank you to Mrs Lowther, Mr Sanderson, Mrs Queiros, Ms Balogh and Mrs Belcher for
all of their assistance on camp. We would like to Mr Meachem and Mrs Street for
all of their efforts with the planning and organisation of the camp. Thank you
also to Ms Roberts for allowing us to have this wonderful opportunity.
